We are blessed to have Stephanie on our team. She first met us as a practice member, going through her own health challenges. She has 2 wonderful children, and joined us as a mom returning to the job field, ready to help serve our practice members at Vaughan Chiropractic.
Kristy is a foot reflexologist and has been a Registered Practical Nurse since 2014 with experience in nursing homes, home care, hospitals and medical clinics. She has always had an interest in holistic health & wellness and believes that Chiropractic care and other complimentary therapies can fill gaps that exist in our current traditional health are system. She loves seeing people live life to their fullest which is why she is both a patient and employee at Vaughan Chiropractic! In her spare time she enjoys dates with her husband and spending time with her family, friends and church family.
Marcus is a personal trainer specializing in functional training. He is part of our team to help our practice members optimize their health through functional movement pattern training.
Marcus has always had a fascination for the human body and it’s ability to move and adapt. His main sport growing up was hockey. However, he had a very late growth spurt and size limited his hockey dreams. He studied health science at University of Waterloo, where he discovered his love for physical training. He put on muscle strength fast and joined University Rugby. He found himself unable to keep up, and found it was caused by his one-dimensional movement training, typical of most gym workouts. He was creating dysfunctions in his body, leading to shoulder separation, ankle sprain and nerve damage in his legs.
Through 3 months travelling in South America, he observed that people who depended on movement to survive were living a lot healthier than here. Whether it was farming, fishing, swimming, climbing, chopping, cleaning, squatting, walking or running, their bodies were highly adaptable and handled stress well. Unlike here where most of our stress is handled in a seated position, and the body adapt to handle stress in that position. He would like to teach individuals the body’s natural movement patterns, to be able to handle stress in a highly efficient manner, using Functional Pattern training that he learned from his studies with Naudi Aguilar in Seattle.
